I graduated from Aalborg University in 2015 with a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following that, I started on my Ph.D., also in Biomedical Engineering with a focus on cardiac mechanical contraction. I examined the method called Seismocardiography and defended my Ph.D. thesis in September 2021. As part of the Ph.D. I did a pilot study showing that Seismocardiography can be used in non-exercise VO2-max estimation. Based on this study I co-founded VentriJect. In VentriJect we develop and sell a small, non-inversive, non-exercise, device for VO2-max estimation. I currently work at the company as CTO.
I have a great interest in developing software and the combination with the medical device industry is ideal for me. Starting VentriJect have granted me insights into how to manage regulatory documents and the development process with respect to the European Medical Device Regulations.

Managing the Software Department and Regulatory Department in VentriJect. Working with internal employees and external partners.
VentriJect works on making VO2-max estimation easy, affordable and possibly for everyone. The company is a spin-off from Aalborg University, based on one of my Ph.D. studies. I co-founded the company back in 2018.
Teaching Java-programming and supporting the research tool REDCap
From time to time I do some freelance work for smaller companies. The work often has to do with development and implementation of software and website solutions.
Primary focus was to belay people, who had never tried climbing, mainly kids. I took a climbing instructor exam for indoor wall climbing as well as three climbing.
While studying at Aalborg University I worked as a salesman at Eventyrsport Aalborg. In this job I was able to use my passion for outdoor living to help others who was going on adventure.
I was responsible for the IT-equipment in the local youth club. This was my first job.
Throughout my Ph.d. I have been working with the mechanical contraction of the heart. The vibrations that are produced by the beating heart can be recorded with an accelerometer, mounted on the chest wall. This signal is called the Seismocardiogram and is the focus in my Ph.d. dissertation.
Through my Master's program I have been working with signal processing, image analysis and physiologic modelling. I have gathered experience with project management, problem based learning and problem solving.
The first part of my university education gave me experience with-in project planning, group dynamics and problem solving. The first years also gave me an insight into software development, writing small applications and scripts.
